The Mike Douglas show really was better than your average talk show. He had many big name rock stars (inc. my favorite '60s rock band The Kinks) at a time when most talk shows didn't feature rock. And he also had Hollywood legends.
One show I remember well was the time Mike had Noel Neill and the comedian David Brenner together. David was totally star struck, telling Noel how much of a crush he had on her when he was a youngster. Mike also had Moe Howard on the show several times and one I remember had Moe with Donny Osmond and Moe teaching Donny how he performed the eye poke without hurting the other Stooges. |
